A Conversation and Book Signing

This was a night to remember. Jamaica National UK Bank is designed with the community in mind. A comfortable and elegant space to providing international banking needs by day and celebrating community leaders, authors, activists, initiatives by night.

On the 31st October 2024, JN Bank UK hosted an In Conversation and Book Signing for the re-launch of Once Bad Intentions, and to provide an opportunity to talk about my story, celebrate me and the Jamaican culture that reared me. Sponsored by Soul & Eden Caribbean Cuisine who provided a delicious selection of nutritious and tasty light bites, and course JN Bank UK, who provided the space and the wonderful Paulette Thompson as host.

Attendees learned of the history and contributions of the Windrush Generation, JN Bank UK and its services, my story and inspiration for writing the book, and got to unpack a few of the leading characters and themes in the book with a backdrop of visual images and a soundtrack of an eclectic mix of genres chronically the journey of Once Bad Intentions’ protagonist Stephanie Johnson in 90s London. Followed by a book signing and networking.
